Frank Serruto, Founder & President

After spending years perfecting his craft for institutions like the Baltimore Symphony Orchestra, Frank took to his garage in 2006 to build a new kind of event company. Today, that company is Excel, the Mid-Atlantic’s go-to answer for exceptionally better event and lighting solutions. Even though he has overseen some of the region’s biggest moments—from the Ravens Super Bowl Ring Ceremony to the France Merrick Performing Arts Center lighting installation—Frank admits that his passion to create perfect experiences still makes his palms a little sweaty just before a live event begins.

Alicia Lin, General Manager

Alicia handles the day-to-day operations, sales, and event management at Excel. She brought her love for and experience in the performing arts to Excel in 2013 after more than a decade of working with The John F. Kennedy Center for the Performing Arts, The Philadelphia Orchestra, and the Baltimore Orchestra. Always up for a challenge, Alicia serves as the event manager for many of our most elaborate client events, including the Chimes Gala and The LifeBridge Health Magic of Life Gala.

Nick Mostris, Account Executive

As account executive, Nick loves nothing more than that first moment a client experiences their event. His “never say no” attitude and wild imagination have led to out-of-the-box ideas and jaw-dropping results. With certifications and training in all aspects of lighting and staging, there is no idea he can’t bring to life with a little—or a lot of—creativity.

Jasmine Couvillion, Office Administrative Coordinator

Jasmine is the brains behind our marketing and social media efforts. She joined the team in 2018 with the goal of creating memories and delivering results for clients. With prior experience in sales and marketing for a popular Baltimore nightclub, Jasmine knows how to capture an event to make it look as epic online as it does in person.

Julie Serruto, Comptroller

Julie has been with the Excel team since day 1, helping Frank start the company in 2006. She keeps the lights on (literally), handling all of the finances and is Quickbooks and Quickbooks Pro certified. Julie believes that personalized service is the key to a good client experience, and shares the passion of her colleagues in doing just that.
